Chopard designs one-of-a-kind collar for uggie

LOS ANGELES, CA, February 26, 2012 - Caroline Scheufele, Co-President and Artistic Director of Chopard, has designed two one-of-a-kind collars for Uggie, the lovable dog in The Artist, the first was worn at The Weinstein Company pre-Oscars soirée on February 25th and the second to the 2012 Academy Awards o n February 26th in Los Angeles. Scheufele, who has a passion for cinema and a personal affection for dogs, having seven of her own, says: “I was completely charmed by Uggie’s role in The Artist. Knowing that Uggie is a rescue dog, it inspired me to create a unique piece to benefit an important cause”.

Uggie’s Academy Award bow tie, hand-crafted of 18kt yellow gold and satin, bearing Uggie’s name, will be auctioned off and all proceeds of will be donated to The Amanda Foundation.
